Peas + Carrots
Bio: I never thought I'd write a blog ... yet here I am! I'm primarily using this blog as a way to document new recipes that I try out, so that I can keep track of my cooking adventures. Since I am an engineer by training and only started cooking decently - and with a mind for adventure - about midway through college, this foray into cuisine is somewhat new to me. I really enjoy cooking with fresh ingredients, trying new flavors, vegetables, and spices. I've collected so many recipes and cookbooks in the last few years that I feel like making a dedicated attempt to constantly try new things is the only way I'll be able to try them all! I figure this is a good compliment to my many cookbooks, two binders of snatched recipes, and small pile of recipe ideas/meal ideas/ingredient lists. At the same time, I'm trying to improve my basic cooking skills (namely cooking meat, at which I have a distinct weakness, culture my palette, and explore seasonality of ingredients).
